1994 Batch #8 – Pablo’s Shipwreck Ale

This was the third beer that made it to Sue and Jon’s wedding beer list.

My favorite craft brew at the time was Shipyard Export Ale from Shipyard Brewing Co in Portland, Maine. This was my nod to that brew.

  • 0.5 lb Brit Crystal steeped
  • 3.3 lb Munton&Fison Light liquid malt extract
  • 2 lb Light dry malt extract
  • 2 t Gypsum
  • 1-3/8 oz Northern Brewer (45 mins)
  • 1.5 oz Willamette (5 mins)
  • Yeast Labs A04 – 16 oz starter

Primary 5 days

Secondary 6 days with Gelatin finings

Bottled with 3/4 cup corn sugar
